The Witch Hunt
Wannabe Lawyer posted a blog entry informing us of a PSC scholar who posted racist remarks on his blog.
Following that, there’s been a spam of comments about his entry, and someone even started a forum topic on cz, the guy in question.
Everyone on that forum started going on a witch-hunt, and wanted to expose him to TNP. Strange that in the process, some people even called him a 302, which in army classification = gay? People against gays calling out people against skin color.
Funny that cz never realized that his readership had increased tremendously. I think it was only after someone posted something nasty on his tagboard did he realize it, and he shut down his website and apologized for his actions.
Bottom line is, if you blog, blog responsibly. I’m glad I’m not a PSC Scholar. Who knows what I might have unknowingly blogged about, that might one day become the scrutiny of a witch hunt. I doubt there’s any, but seeing how a low-profile blogger who no doubt is racist, became infamous overnight it’s scary.
The SG blogging community scares me sometime.
